Organized Shopping with Consignment Sales (Part 1)

Shopping and building my kids wardrobes by season is so easy, convenient & inexpensive! If you do it the Rhea Lana way, it can be fun too! I find myself saving a lot of money by shopping at local seasonal consignment events! Shopping “seasonally” keeps me from being tempted to shop the big name stores when I’m out & about.

Rhea Lana’s is a children’s consignment eventwhere families can resale their gently used clothes or shop for gently used clothes that have come from other families who are selling them at the event in your local community. There is an event going on right now in Jacksonville, Arkansas through the end of the week.

Before shopping seasonally the first thing you need to do is get rid of all of the clothes and shoes that your children can no longer wear by donating them or selling them in the local consignment events. Next, create a very detailed and specific list of items and statement pieces that you know you’ll be shopping for. This is crucial for building your seasonal wardrobe because you don’t want to get in there and over shop. I like to call it organized shopping.

How about you? Do you have any tips for shopping consignment? I love to “up” my game every chance I get.  Shopping consignment has significantly impacted my family’s budget and bottom line.
